Baroness Sue Miller, Liberal Democrat DEFRA Spokesperson in the House of Lords, will tomorrow call on the Government to take advantage of Local Food Links' experience to bring healthy food into the heart of communities in Britain.

In a speech to the Local Food Links: Ideas into Action conference on Thursday (27th November), Baroness Miller will say:

"The Government must learn from Food Links UK.

"Nationally, governments lurch from food crisis to food crisis - salmonella, BSE and now obesity.

"The success of local food links in joining up policy on food across every area - from food production to retailing, school markets, food poverty and health - shows that a wholesome policy from farm to fork really works."
